Liliana Maria Tallini, an employee of Apple Bank, died on February 14, 2005 in Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, NY. She was 40 years old. She died of septic shock, which was probably aggravated by an untreated diabetic condition.
Born April 8, 1964 in Jamaica Hospital, NY, she was the daughter of Italo and Anna Tallini. Liliana lived for many years of her youth in Italy, and obtained a strong knowledge of Italian besides her native English. She was also extremely fluent in Spanish, a language she picked-up in her late teens through her Spanish-speaking friends. After graduating from Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, NY, Liliana was a student of Nassau Community College in Garden City, NY.
She has worked for over 9 years with Apple Bank, after previously working for Crossland Savings. She will be deeply missed by Directors, co-workers, and clients alike, who benefited from Liliana's command of Spanish, and her great team spirit and integrity. In her free time Liliana enjoyed traveling, and she visited the Dominican Republic and Spain besides her long Italian sojourn.
She is survived by two brothers, Cesidio Tallini and Italo Tallini (Jr.), in addition to her living parents. Her brother Italo is married to Theresa, and their children are Robert, Annamarie, Crystal, and Clarissa Tallini. She will be deeply missed by Italo, Theresa, and their children, for Liliana was very close to them, and frequently visited them in Florida.
Mass for Liliana was held on February 19, 2005 at St. Vincent De
Paul Church in Elmont, NY, and she was buried at the Cemetery of the
Holy Rood in Westbury, NY. This special Memorial Website has been setup
